Vercell Flame Retardant
Vercell F100 is an EPS class with HBCD flame retardant agent, which can be used in production of EPS foam in density ranges between 7-12 kg/m2, which is suitable for high quality block molding,
Vercell F100 in General is used in applications which are require fire classification such as thermal insulation material for constructions and for contour moldings. Lower densities can be achieved by multiple expansions.
Vercell F100 should be stored in well-ventilated storage areas with a temperatur preferably not exceeding 25°C. It should be protected against unsuitable weather conditions and direct sunlight. Partialy used containers should be closed as tight as original conditions and should be consumed in a short time. In order to maintain the expansion potential it is recommended to use within three months after delivery.
Minimum density is dependent upon expander type and pressre/steam conditions. Silo aging time shall be more than 5 hours to ensure high strength performance of the molded product, but less than 24 hours to ensure good fusion. Maximum silo aging time strongly depends on ventilation and storage temperature. For special advice kindly contact Vercell Technical Service.
Vercell F100 requires to be avoided restrictively from sparks and flames during phases of processing and storage. Grounding of entire equipments and machines are reuired, in order to prevent against static electricity development on the product conveying lines and during product processing. Flammable pentane-air mixture might be generated during storage and processing. For this reason adequate ventilation shall be ensured. please make sure to read the “Material Safety Data Sheet” (MSDS), wich contains entire details of the measurments required to be taken.
Vercell F100 is not suitable and not permitted to be used for food contact application.
